Introduction

It's a new year and time for new resolutions.
My goal is to write love letters to my husband on a regular (hopefully daily) basis. 365 is the challenge!

Why a blog?
It has been noted on occasion that I am not very good at expressing myself verbally. I always feel more comfortable in writing. Maybe this will encourage me to be more expressive in all ways. At least it's a start.

Why love letters to my husband?
I am a mother of 3, currently all under 3 years old. We have been married almost 5 years. It's an understatement to say that our life together virtually exploded 3 years ago. We have been blessed with 3 healthy beautiful children we adore. However, life is crazy and hectic and often exhausting. I wanted a little quiet space for the two of us.

The Real Challenge.
My husband is a wonderful person. It's not difficult to find nice things to say about him. The challenge is to do it daily. And I know there will be days when I don't feel like it. Or don't feel particularly loving. That is my challenge. Like a daily affirmation. To be more loving.
I was inspired by someone who wrote letters to his wife every day for like 40 years or some such thing. This isn't quite the same, but I was inspired!

Why public?
I wondered how it would be best to do this. After all it's really just personal between my husband and myself. But just like evil spreads, so does goodness. So I thought maybe I'd put my love letters 'out there' and God or the universe (whatever you believe in) will support me. Don't we all need all the good we can get?
